Well, it was a big surprise for us getting invited to Modena / carpi out of the blue last year. We came there before when we went on our Italian tour in 2007. The promoter was obviously very happy with our show so he invited us again to the Philosophy Festival held in Carpi / Modena that year.
We had short visits at readings but not much time on the day we arrived and actually were super hungry for good italian food after arriving. The city was crowded with tents and rooms where you could spot people like Zygmunt Bauman, Enrico Ghezzi, Peter Sloterdijk, Marino Niola and many more. Nice delighting, deep thinking invitation!
Driver&Driver Just had an amazing night yesterday at Mehdis Birthday at Cookies Cream, amazing italian / french food and a wild jumping crowd!
After a long and intense eating session, Champagne and concert of Hands up – Excitement Driver&Driver went on stage around 00:00 and started the Birthday Bang on the improvised monitor system.
It all worked out great and people were going crazy to the new songs..

When we came to L.A in 2007 we brought back a lot of nice mexican cumbia music and actually did quite a bit in this crossover direction. We noticed that Mexico might be a good place for us regarding that the musical style isn’t really far away from my Candie Hank music as well..
